We serve a God that has great plans for each of us. We are amazed on a daily basis at how God has woven the lives of so many different people together, all for His glory. Below is a post from Caren about how God has helped her realize some of her dreams.
I have been a part of Project Hope’s ministry for the past 4 years. When I think back to the first year that I participated in the Jewelry for Education program, it fills me with motivation to continue to work hard in school.
School in Colombia costs money, and so I worry about the cost when I should be focused on school. When I began to be involved with Project Hope, I no longer had to worry.
Once a year people involved in ministry come and give us materials to make jewelry like necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. They teach us how to make them, and we work hard to get them ready to sell. Then the jewelry is returned to the United States where it is sold.
People who buy jewelry have all our appreciation even though I don’t know them, because with the money they give us the tools to buy uniforms and everything we need for school.
Participating in the ministry is a blessing and daily satisfaction. I know that God has blessed my family, and I never thought that being a part of the program would be so satisfying.
One of my biggest dreams is to be a missionary and help people, just like the people that have helped us.
Caren graduates very soon, and is at the top of her class. Thank you for making school a reality for Caren! God is truly at work, and we are blessed to be able to be a part of what He is doing in her life.
