Through our Community Center programs, we work to provide opportunities for children in Colombia to fully participate in and excel in their academics. Classes before and after school help to provide kids with accountability, study skills, and tutoring. Certified teachers work with students at three different locations in Bogota:
–
Jewelry for Education
Colombia’s required school uniforms and supplies create a financial hardship for many families. By participating in the Jewelry for Education program, kids work with visiting mission teams to create beautiful necklaces, earrings, keychains, and more. These items are sold in the United States at Project Hope events and 100% of the proceeds are used to purchase needed uniforms and supplies. You can also now shop online!
Child Sponsorship
You can help make this program possible for a child by becoming a child sponsor. Your monthly gift of $25 helps us to provide educational support to one child. You’ll receive updates several times a year about what is happening in the Community Center.
In addition to Child Sponsorship, each year approximately 300 high school students present the Prado Benefit Concert which raises additional funds for this project.
