Camila is studying to be a chef. She is in a post-high school training program called SENA. SENA is a government program that is free for low-income students. To get in, students have to pass rigorous tests and commit to not missing class. Project Hope provides additional scholarship funds to help graduating Community Center students have the money for bus transportation to and from class and the required books and uniforms. In return, scholarship students volunteer in the Community Center classrooms and at the Project Hope House.
Camila has been a Community Center student since she was a young child. She loves to cook and happily volunteers to use her schools to help adopting families when they stay at the Project Hope House.
