Tagua Keychain: Cream (A)
An essential piece of Colombian culture! The Tagua Nut keychains were made in Colombia by kids in the Community Center program. The Tagua Nut is a dried seed from the Tagua Palm Tree which grows in tropical rainforests of South America. The nuts are sun-dried for 4-6 months, then carved and polished to a bright shine. Their natural color is white, but they are easy to dye and can be found in many colors. This keychain also looks great attached to a purse or bag. As with all of Project Hope’s jewelry, your purchase helps a child attend school in Colombia by helping to pay for required uniforms and school supplies.
